Innovative Smartphone App Directs You to Free Condoms

Some people believe nothing comes free these days. But when you’re in New York, you’re in luck. There’s one important personal item you can get there at no charge at all and this is the condom.

To be able to find locations in the Big Apple where you can get this contraceptive for free, you can just use your smartphone. The New York City Health Department launched early this year, particularly on Valentine’s Day, a smartphone application that will help adults find the nearest area where condoms can be had at no cost. According to the officials of the health department, they want New York to be the world’s safest city to experience sex the reason why they’re giving away condoms to people for free. They clarified, however, that
The smartphone app utilizes a database of more than 1,000 areas around the Big Apple. It uses the GPS technology to locate the address where these condoms are offered free of charge. This is downloadable from the iPhone and Android Phones.

To use the app, people only have to manually enter an address and instantly, they will be provided with specific directions to every venue as well as the shop’s hours of operation and types of safer sex products available. With such convenience provided, those on the lookout for condoms can either just walk, drive or take a public transportation to the nearest venue and get their free rubber.

Known as the NYC Condom Finder, this smartphone application was launched in line with the National Condom Awareness. When used, it enables users to find the five closest areas in New York City where condoms can be availed of for free. In addition to the locations, the app also provides tips for using and storing condoms.

The city of New York began its condom program in 2007 by giving out millions of condoms around the city. Since that time, the city government has been distributing some three millions condoms every month. While it has been criticized for encouraging sex among teenagers, officials from the city’s health department clarified that their main goal is to make the city a popular place where people can experience safe sex.

In the U.S., research has found that a growing number of people are responsible enough to use condoms as a way to prevent unwanted pregnancy and protect themselves from sexually transmitted diseases. It’s been reported that some 6.2 million rely on the male condom as a means of contraception.

For a three-year period from 2006 to 2008, research has revealed that the male condom ranks third as among the top contraceptive method choices among U.S. women. The use of condom was found to be common among teenagers and women in their 20s as well as women with one or no children. Others use the dual method or combining the condom with another contraceptive method.

A responsible attitude is admirable particularly when it comes to having safe sex. It will not only protect your health but will enable you to continue to reach for your goals in life without having to worry about any mistake in your sex life.

Crown Condoms Ideal for the Discerning Users

Adults share the same desire of experiencing sexual pleasure. But it takes a responsible adult to be able to achieve this goal. This means using condoms whenever possible and this applies to both adolescents and adults.
With the numerous brands of condoms on the market today, people are not sure what to choose. Some would get those that are readily available whenever they need the rubber while the others are very particular about brand. Among the top quality condoms preferred by adults, the Crown is one of them. Manufactured by Japanese firm, Okamoto, the Crown condoms have been manufactured since 1934.

The Crown condoms are known for their very thin material described by many as the skinless skin. Compared to other leading brands, this one is approximately 50 percent thinner based on the tests conducted. But despite the fact that they’re so thin, studies have proven that these condoms are as strong and reliable as what other people use. Crown makes sure to test their products using electrostatic technology to ensure they are strong and durable enough to protect the user.

This super thin product makes the wearer feel as if he’s not wearing any covering at all. As such, a man’s sensitivity is heightened during intercourse allowing him to feel more pleasure. Women, on the other hand, are also able to enjoy more sexual pleasure with their partners even with the use of this condom.

This Japanese brand of condoms, although super thin, is guaranteed to be strong and durable. They come with lubricants and have no taste or odor unlike the other ones available on the market. They are also made from latex but different kinds are manufactured to suit every man’s needs.

People particular about the size and fit of condoms will not encounter these issues with the Crown brand. An independent study involving volunteers showed that out of the 10, nine chose this brand over the three other leading brands in the market. They claimed to have experienced a high level of sensitivity and sensation when using the Crown condoms. The other brands used in the study were that of Durex Enhanced Pleasure, Lifestyles Ultra Sensitive and Trojan Ultra Thin.

The Okamoto Crown condoms are known around the world as the skinless skin. Although it may be super thin, the brand promises strength and quality in its products. And without the odor and taste that other condoms have, every user of Crown will have no regrets.

Crown makes use of latex but without the smell and taste of natural rubber. Its manufacturer, Japanese company Okamoto also manufactures Beyond Seven also known as the Pink Condoms.

Adults eager to enjoy a very satisfying sexual experience can purchase this Japanese brand of condoms at physical stores or on the internet. If you don’t have time to go out and drive to a shop to buy your rubber, then you can conveniently shop online. What’s even better when buying online is you get some great deals you won’t be able to avail of when purchasing offline.

Condom Usage Still Equals Safe Sex

Adults seeking a safe sexual experience continue to turn to the condom. This is the right behavior of a responsible adult and recent studies have shown that the use of condoms is very important for many people.

The National Survey of Sexual Health and Behavior (NSSHB) conducted in 2010 by Indiana University’s Center for Sexual Health Promotion has confirmed this. In one of its most comprehensive studies on condom use covering more than 5,800 people aged from 14 to 94, the researchers found that one in four people in the U.S. use condoms during intercourse. The finding showed that condom use has indeed increased particularly with some groups. Responsible sexual behaviors that include condom use is high among black and Hispanic Americans.

Among the brand of condoms available today, Lifestyles is one of the most preferred by adults. This brand has proven its worth in the market owing to its commitment to providing only quality condoms and other products for people’s sexual pleasure. The manufacture ensures that quality control tests are conducted for all of its products to meet international standards.

Water test – This is just one of the rigorous tests Lifestyles condoms undergo at the manufacturing plant. At this stage, the condom is filled with water until it can hold about 300 milliliters of the liquid. This will test if holes are present.

Air inflation test – The air inflation test determines the strength and elongation of condoms. It is here where condom samples are inflated until they reach three feet high and one foot wide.

Electronic test – Lifestyles also conducts an automatic electronic test for its condoms. This process is aimed at checking microscopic holes for the second time before they move to the packaging area. This is the final stage of the quality assurance test.

Adults today are fortunate to have a variety of condoms to choose from to fit their lifestyle. The Lifestyles brand, for example, provides many shapes, sizes and styles made from different durable materials. Condom users that have been comfortable using the regular latex products can continue to do so while sensitive people can now use the non-latex condoms.

Thickness is also not a major issue these days as there are now very thin condoms that feel as though it’s just your second skin. This type is often made from the polyisoprene material that promotes a softer and more natural feel unlike the regular latex.

For the more adventurous adults, Lifestyles offers its textured condoms. One such type features raised rubber studs for more stimulation and a truly satisfied sexual experience. Another type is the ribbed condom that also comes with a lubricant to allow users to have a more pleasurable experience.
Whatever size you need, there’s sure to be one from Lifestyles that will fit you. All you have to do is ask and be in the know what you need.

Whatever stage of adolescence you’re in at the moment, you need to be responsible for your actions and using a condom is one of the most important things you have to keep in mind.

Being a Responsible Adult Means Prioritizing Condom Use

Adults carry a lot of responsibilities in their lifetime. One of these pertains to their sex life. Having a satisfactory sex life is important for many people, whether married or not, but this should be practiced safely.

Safe sex is vital and condom use should be a top priority to be able to experience this. With the condom, any adult can be protected from sexually transmitted diseases and unexpected pregnancy.

Condoms have long been with us. Records have it that this has been used for more than 400 years already and since the 19th century, this product has been one of the most preferred form of contraceptive around the globe.

In terms of usage in the modern times, studies have found that more people are using the condoms. A 2010 study by Indiana University’s Center for Sexual Health Promotion provided comprehensive findings concerning the sexual behavior of Americans. The National Survey of Sexual Health and Behavior (NSSHB) that covered more than 5,800 people with ages ranging from 14 to 94 showed that the number of people using condoms has indeed increased through the years.

Specifically, the survey findings published in The Journal of Sexual Medicine stated that one in four Americans use a condom during intercourse. Among the groups that often used the rubber covering are the black and Hispanic Americans.
Another 2010 report on condom use in the U.S. showed that of the 62 million women there aged 15 to 44, almost all or more than 99 percent have used at least one contraceptive method. At that time, 62 percent were found to still be using a contraceptive. Additionally, 89 percent of the 43 million fertile and sexually active women who do not want to become pregnant were practicing contraception. The report also stated that the common methods of contraception used by women are the hormonal type that includes the pill, patch, injectable, vaginal ring and implant as well as the IUD and condoms.

Among the contraceptive method used by women, the pill ranked first followed by tubal sterilization and male condom. This was based on a two-year survey.

In terms of condom use, 6.2 million relied on this method. The rubber was found to be used more often by teenagers and women in their 20s. Also using this contraceptive were women with one or no children as well as those who have gained college education.

The same report also revealed that 13.5 percent of people practicing contraceptive methods would use the condom together with another method. The teenagers and single women were found to be using this dual method.

In these tough times, teenagers and adults who are not yet married should be responsible enough to use condoms. This will not only allow them to have a safe sexual experience but will protect them as well from sexually transmitted diseases and unexpected pregnancy. Nothing should be left to chance because one wrong move and your bright future can be at risk. Keep in mind that being responsible is always an admirable trait.
